Payfit has become the first unicorn of 2022. The company, which was founded in 2015, is growing rapidly and is now aiming for a thousand employees by 2023, spread across the European continent.

To support its employees, Payfit chose Modjo in 2021. Victoire Berger, Sales Enablement Analyst, and Romain Fromont, Account Executive, tell us about their experience with the Modjo tool within the Payfit sales team.

Payfit has become the first unicorn of 2022. After raising 254 million euros in funding, the company is now valued at 1.82 billion euros. Founded in 2015 by Firmin Zocchetto, Ghislain de Fontenay and Florian Fournier, Payfit develops a human resources and payroll management platform for VSEs and SMEs.

Rapid expansion focuses on Europe; 400 new employees are expected to be recruited in 2022, between offices in Paris, Berlin, Barcelona and London. The French company is expected to exceed 1,000 employees next year.

To attract talent, Payfit is banking on flexibility with its "work from anywhere" policy. This is a boon for employees, but also a challenge for the company: "We have a strict telecommuting policy, so we needed a tool that would enable us to train and support our sales people without necessarily being present on site," explains Victoire Berger, Sales Enablement Analyst at Payfit.

In 2021, Payfit has chosen Modjo to support the company's European growth.

A European sales school

Payfit's ambition is to "become a real sales school" for its sales staff, reports Victoire Berger. The Modjo tool has been added to the tools already in use within the company to enable sales reps to improve their skills. But before definitively opting for the solution, Payfit's teams wanted to carry out a productivity test with the tool.

"We started by rolling out Modjo to two of our six sales teams in Paris. We quickly realized that for 70% of the team, the Modjo tool was helping them win more sales, so we rolled it out to all.

Within a few weeks, Payfit accelerated its collaboration with Modjo and decided to equip its employees in Spain and Germany. "Payfit is first and foremost a European company, and when
I saw that Modjo's implementation was working well in France, we immediately wanted to implement it in other countries," reports the manager.

This was made possible by the relevance and efficiency of Modjo's transcription in European languages.

While French transcription technology is being developed at Modjo, the teams are working on the in-house production of Spanish and German transcriptions. In addition to technology, Modjo's teams support their foreign customers with bilingual or native speakers.

Payfit and Modjo have joined forces with this European vision and desire for international development.

Romain Fromont is an account manager on the Payfit sales team. He has been working with the Modjo tool since the early days of its implementation.

For this seasoned salesman, who has been with Payfit for three years, the tool has revolutionized his daily routine: "Before Modjo, I was torn between listening to the customer and taking notes. I was either short of information or short of attention.

Romain, who says he's "more serene" at the time of the exchange, doesn't hesitate to "[listen again] to identify the added value and thus better target my follow-up emails".

The tool has brought the Paris sales team closer together. Every Thursday at noon, "Modjo lunches" are organized, a collective listening lunch between employees. The initiative enables employees to listen to the key moments of an interview, ask for advice, exchange and debate, "on closing, negotiating, requalifying a demo and sharing advice".

Since its installation, he can no longer imagine working without Modjo.

Today, Modjo is much more than just a sales tool. The tool has become a global performance platform for Payfit, equipping sales, customer service, marketing and products.
