Payfit has become the first unicorn of the year 2022. The company, which was founded in 2015, is growing rapidly and is now aiming for a thousand employees by 2023, spread across the European continent.
To support its employees, Payfit chose Modjo in 2021. Victoire Berger, Sales Enablement Analyst and Romain Fromont, Account Executive, tell us about their experience with the Modjo tool within the Payfit sales team.
Payfit has become the first unicorn of the year 2022. After raising €254 million in funding, the company is now valued at €1.82 billion. Founded in 2015 by Firmin Zocchetto, Ghislain de Fontenay and Florian Fournier, Payfit develops an HR and payroll management platform for VSEs and SMEs.
The fast-growing scale-up is focusing on Europe; 400 new employees are expected to be recruited in 2022, between offices in Paris, Berlin, Barcelona and London. The French company is expected to exceed 1,000 employees next year.
To attract its talents, Payfit relies on flexibility with its "work from anywhere" policy. This is a boon for employees, but also a challenge for the company: "We have a strong telecommuting policy, so we needed a tool that would allow us to train and support our sales people without necessarily being present on site," explains Victoire Berger, Sales Enablement Analyst at Payfit.
In 2021, Payfit has chosen Modjo to support the company's European growth.
Payfit's ambition is to "become a real sales school" for its salespeople, reports Victoire Berger. The Modjo tool was added to the tools already in use in the company to enable salespeople to improve their skills. But before definitively opting for the solution, the Payfit teams wanted to carry out a productivity test with the tool.
"We started by deploying Modjo to two of the six sales teams in Paris. We quickly realized that for 70% of the team's salespeople, the Modjo tool helped them win more sales, so we deployed it to all of them.

Within a few weeks, Payfit accelerated its collaboration with Modjo and decided to equip its employees in Spain and Germany. "Payfit is first and foremost a European company, and when
saw that the implementation of Modjo was working well in France, we immediately wanted to implement it in other countries," reports the manager.
This was made possible by the relevance and efficiency of the Modjo transcription in European languages.
While the French transcription technology is developed at Modjo, the teams work to produce Spanish and German transcriptions in-house. In addition to the technology, Modjo's teams support their foreign clients with bilingual or native speakers.
It is with this European vision and desire for international development that Payfit and Modjo are joining forces.

Romain Fromont is an account executive in the Payfit sales team, he has been working with the Modjo tool since the early days of its implementation.
For this seasoned salesman, a Payfit employee for three years, the tool has revolutionized his daily life: "Before Modjo, I was torn between listening to the customer and taking notes. I was either lacking information or lacking attention.
Romain, who says he is "more serene" at the time of the exchange, does not hesitate to "[listen] again to identify the added value and thus better focus my follow-up emails".
The tool has enabled the Paris sales team to get closer together. Every Thursday at noon, "Modjo lunches" are organized, a collective listening lunch between employees. The initiative allows employees to listen to the key moments of an interview, ask for advice, exchange and debate, "on closing, negotiation, requalification of a demo and share advice".
Since its implementation, he can no longer imagine working without Modjo.
